Imagine feeling stuck, as if joy and pleasure are just beyond your reach. You are be pretty tough, usually, and completely successful, normally. But lately, what has typically worked hasn’t worked, and you feel the rut becoming a ravine. Sometimes this is triggered by an event or a loss. Other times it is a slow build-up over time in stressful situations. For some, it seems to just show up, and we no longer feel the same meaning and purpose, and we are not getting to where we want to be, or we are even dropping and missing important things in daily functioning. Our minds might start running with thoughts and worries about general things or even how other people think about us. Our bodies might be feeling and carrying this stress even more, in tiredness, fatigue, anxiety, anger, distracted attention, sadness, or slower and lower motivation. This is often our bodies way of telling us that it’s time to make a change.

At the moment, you feel like you’ve lost yourself, and while you are smart and have been successful, you are not experiencing your life. You may be feeling stuck, doing life as usual, or in a new place.
You may have accepted an opportunity to work (or study) abroad, or simply jumped at the opportunity to be a globally mobile person. Even with the excitement of living abroad, big changes are stressful.
You may be wondering how to connect with others, organize your life in a new culture, and even how to make the most of your time abroad.
Or maybe your partner accepted a position, and you are now in a new place and have given up your career, friends, and family to be abroad, navigating the emotions of all that you’ve left behind.
I have studied and lived abroad. I can work with you to help navigate any difficulties or to help you create the experience you want during your time in a new country.
Encounter others and your world.
We no longer connect, or the connection is often tense, or sometimes only around a shared problem—such as a struggle with a chid—and often leads to conflict. Sometimes this energy is caused by stress in the relationship. Maybe there is infidelity, maybe you feel your partner does not respect you.
At times it is your own struggles (or those of your partner) that are getting in the way of having a meaningful connection. The relationship itself can even be a place of stress and struggle. When connections in a relationship tend to be only around problems, the relationship no longer holds joy, and the people in the relationship no long show up completely. This can be really damaging to the relationship and stressful for the individuals involved.
When these things happen, you often feel exhausted, short-tempered, sad, distracted, or completely stretched thin and scattered. You might feel like you can’t think clearly or as if your emotions are off-balance.
Ready for change?
I want to help you. I want to help you find and create the meaningful life that you want. I will work with you to help develop skills to target specific behavioral changes, as well as work through the emotions and thoughts that have been part of keeping you where you are now.
I meet you where you are at, and take time to listen. Then, together we will develop plan and work on changing and healing the things that are not working. It can be hard work, but I commit to working hard with you, so that together we will be able to see change in your life.

Individual Counselling
We meet together online weekly or every other week to work on what you want to work on. You help set the goals, I help guide us along the way. It’s a process we work on together.
Individual counseling offers you a space to explore specific challenges and issues, to practice new skills, and make real change in a safe environment.

Couples Counseling
When the two of you are in a stuck spot or want to build something more, Couples Counseling can be the space to explore the issues and the directions for change. We meet online together, either weekly or every other week, to look at patterns and tackle the work needed to get to your goals. As a couple and as individuals you help set the goals, I help do the work to reach the goals and bring to light what I see along the way.

A package that offers weekly Individual coaching focused on applying skills in daily life. This also comes with the opportunity to contact me in between sessions to have quick coaching on applying skills in real life.

Life Abroad Coaching
Life Abroad Coaching offers individual online sessions every other week to work on building and creating the joy you want in your time living in a new country. It’s a space to talk about the challenges you face in this new experience and set goals to help you make it the experience you want
